| A little about me: My favorite Christmas presents, art supplies (that would be starting at about age six). Until i met Walt Nottingham my junior year of undergraduate studies i thought that i was supposed to be a painter. Than i discovered fibers! I was hooked. Not suprising. I had learned how to knit, crochet and sew from my mother and grandmother. Learning a variety of weaving and knotting techniques was right up my alley. And something that Walt said on that first day of class in 1973 has resonnated in my soul ever since. "Its all about the process", getting your fingers and hands and eyes and mind connected in a process of making. What do i want to do with my life? make stuff! |
